From August 2020 to July 2024 we will present, discuss, develop, publish and exhibit material and stories from the Arctic contact zone.

New book project with Cambridge University Press!

Cambridge University Press has accepted our proposal for an edited book on the topic of ‘Visualising Arctic Voices’. Among the 17 excellent contributors are the distinguished scholars Drs Sven Haakanson, Jelena Porsanger, Renée Hulan and Kirsten Thisted. The book will be edited by Drs. Ingeborg Høvik, Sigfrid Kjeldaas and Maria Shaa Tláa Williams.

Research funding application

Arctic Voices is funded through the Research Council of Norway’s Young Research Talent programme. The project has been awarded funding for 4 years, including a PhD-fellowship, a two-year research position and two short-term visiting research fellowships.
